Chemo Diaries

Went to radiation/oncology at OSU/ James yesterday. First up was drinking the refreshing contrast for the CT scan and to get the markings so they know just where to shoot the beams. After the CT scan I met with the nurse to go over my schedule for radiation, starts the end of June and runs through July. Next was having the dye injected for the MRI to get a better view of all the little invaders that are in there. I have waited for months for summer to get here so we could spend time traveling for fun, looks like I will have to wait awhile to start that kind of traveling. I am grateful for every bit of positivity, however it is a long road to recovery. Waiting for hair to grow, for eyelashes to grow, to feel good enough to go all day without having to rest. While waiting, I have been working on a children’s book inspired by one of the my grandsons. It has been a process and it isn’t done yet, but neither am I. Having your thoughts and words come to life is amazing. More on that later…..
