fun hair day

Even with the cooling cap I will most likely have some hair loss. With that in mind, my daughter made an appointment for me at the Hope’s Boutique in the Stefani Spielman cancer center. After checking in, we were greeted by a very caring and sweet person. She went over the services they provided and asked what I needed. I brought up the information regarding the cooling cap and that I would most likely be in need of a wig. Upon hearing that I was using the cooling cap she gave us info that I was unaware of. It seems just the trauma of trying on wigs could cause more hair loss, up to this point I had not heard that. Hmmm what to do? She asked my daughter if she minded trying on the wigs for me so I could see them on. Of course my daughter was up for it. Each wig had a style, came in multiple colors and each one had a name. After a few no ways, well maybes, we narrowed it down to two. Now onto contacting insurance to see what, if anything they might pay. Next week I am trying another wig boutique to just get another viewpoint on the hair situation. We had a great day with the wig parade and having a great meal together. Enjoying every positive moment as a win!
